TSMP successfully pleads down capital charges in pro bono LASCO case

As part of our community programme, we are honoured to have helped a client in pleading down a High Court case from a murder charge with death penalty to a less-serious charge of culpable homicide. Volunteering under the LASCO scheme that provides legal aid to indigent persons charged with capital offences, TSMP’s Thio Shen Yi, SC and Anand Nalachandran represented the former gang member who killed a passer-by whom he had mistaken to be from a rival gang.
