In a story published in the Straits Times on 14 November 2018 on the Civil Justice Commission’s proposed implementation of civil litigation scale costs, joint managing partner Thio Shen Yi, SC, agreed that making the litigation regime more accessible to the public is an important public interest issue, but questioned “if litigation scale costs are the best way forward”.
