IAN LIM LL.B. (Hons)
Director
Ian throws himself into his legal practice like he does his sports - with a no holds barred attitude. A Director in TSMP's Dispute Resolution Department, his practice in civil litigation and international arbitration encompasses a wide range of corporate and commercial disputes. Ian has developed a reputation as an expert practitioner in employment and labour law, and has fought high profile cases in the areas of confidentiality, restraint of trade, industrial relations and data protection in the Singapore courts. He is the lead author for the Singapore chapters of yearly international publications ‘The Employment Law Review’ and ‘Getting the Deal Through – Labour & Employment’, and is active in pro bono and charitable work, with a focus on migrant worker welfare.
Ian never slows down. Sundays are spent on a football pitch slugging it out with opponents often half his age. His infrequent holidays see him plunging off-piste down steep wintry slopes on a snowboard with the same full-on commitment he throws into his practice. Thankfully, this is an approach that has engendered as much approval from clients as it has raised alarm among less kamikaze skiers.
