Ronald started his career practicing banking law in a large Singapore law firm. With this specialisation, he has expanded his practice into related fields such as debt restructurings and "white knight" corporate rescues (which were very prevalent as the country climbed out of its 2003 recession). He is also actively involved in the firm's broader portfolio of corporate transactions; including initial public offerings, mergers & acquisitions (such as take-overs of Singapore listed companies), corporate finance and advising listed companies.

Ronald shares the firm's belief that a strong understanding of legal issues and the ability to present a commercially effective legal solution is the key to building a successful practice. He also has the twin strengths of being able to stay on top of the finer details of a transaction while maintaining a big picture grasp on the commercial landscape.

A recent convert to the pleasures of golf, Ronald believes that it's never too late to trade in the pda phone and laptop for a good set of irons. While he's working to keep his dreams of becoming a pro-golfer alive, so long as he continues to spend more time searching for lost golf balls than actually hitting them, we're not worrying about losing Ronald to a career change.
