Collin Seah started practice as an admiralty and shipping lawyer in 1993. After 6 years of handling all manner of shipping and maritime work, both contentious and non-contentious, he was mentioned as a leading shipping lawyer in the Euromoney Guide to the World’s Leading Shipping & Maritime Lawyers 1999, and again in Chambers Global – The Directory of the World’s Leading Lawyers 2000–2001 and 2001-2002. Since 2001, he has consistently been named a leading individual in shipping in The Asia Pacific Legal 500.
In addition to cargo claims, charterparty disputes, enforcement of ship mortgages and other maritime debts, Collin has handled numerous claims arising from shipping casualties including collisions, fires and groundings of vessels. He has also dealt with issues requiring immediate attention in the aftermath of shipping casualties including casualty investigations, marine pollution, salvage and wreck removal. Collin has been involved in various ship repair and ship conversion disputes as well as the sale and purchase of ships and ship financing.
Sterling credentials aside, it is Collin's roll-up-your-sleeves-and-get-the-job-done attitude that continues to impress his clients.
