Chua Choon King started practice as an admiralty and shipping lawyer in 1996.  He regularly acts for a wide range of financiers active in the shipping industry, on bilateral as well as syndicated loan transactions. His clients include local banks as well as international banks active in ship finance. He also routinely acts for ship owners in sale & purchase and sale and lease-back transactions and advises on tax and related choice of flag issues, joint ventures and capital markets fund raising exercises.  

Before joining TSMP, he started the ship finance and shipping corporate practice group of a major Singapore law firm and propelled it to become one of the premier teams handling ship finance matters in Singapore. 

Choon King's efforts have received recognition in various legal journals such as the Asia Pacific 500 – 2006/2007 and Chambers Global – The World’s Leading Lawyers, which have highlighted the significant deals he has handled.
