A relatively young Business Unit, this team deals with cases that have infrastructure and/or telecommunications implications, recognising that there are specific legal issues involved in this area of practice, taking into account the complexity and scale of the transactions.
Our practice in this area encompasses advice on infrastructure construction contracts, engineering contracts and project finance transactions. Our lawyers have, in particular, experience in transactions relating to tank farm and pipeline projects, port concessions, real estate developments, hotels, aircraft and oil rigs.
On the telecommunications front, our lawyers’ experience includes the privatisation of public sector bodies. Our lawyers have also advised on various aspects of telecommunications and broadcasting law in Singapore (including in relation to licensing, satellites and broadband telecommunication-linked transactions for video-on-demand services). We have also been involved in various acquisitions of telecommunications companies.
Ranked in the Asia Pacific Legal 500 (2006/2007 Ed) for Projects and Energy
